Bengal civic poll nomination ends

Filing of nomination for the 25 April polls in 91 civic bodies in West Bengal ended on Wednesday afternoon. The West Bengal State Election Commission said that a few thousand poll aspirants cutting across party lines have submitted nominations, but the exact number could be ascertained only on Thursday when it is able to compile the figures received from the districts.The nomination papers will be scrutinised on Thursday and the last day to withdraw candidature is 28 March.
